Concert Black

12/5/2018

During the winter season and second semester, our students participate in concerts.  At these concerts, the students typically wear concert black (unless otherwise determined).

For Concert Black, this includes tuxedos or long black skirts/dresses.  For the tuxedos, students will also need a black bow tie and cummerbund.  For the long black skirts/dresses, the length must extend past the musicians' knees while that musician is seated.  Black socks (where appropriate) and black shoes should be worn. Spaghetti straps, mini skirts, and extremely high heels, are not appropriate for concerts and are not permitted.  Sneakers are also not permitted at concerts.

It is understandable that students may not have tuxedos available to them; in this case, students can wear a black suit, but should still have a tuxedo shirt, black bowtie, and black cummerbund.
