The Color Guard/Lomanettes is a unique option for students at Point Loma High School to receive PE credit. Color guard members participate with the Vanguard during the Fall semester, and compete independently during the second semester in Winter Guard competitions. Color guard is similar to dance, in that students performed a choreographed routine; however, students in color guard perform with flags and other equipment in creating a visual interpretation of the music being played. Students in color guard should sign up for 6th period color guard class.

Anybody can be a member of the color guard - prior musical or dance guard experience is not necessary.  Students who are interested in color guard should come to an informational meeting and training camp in late May/early June More details about this camp will be available on our website in May.
