Jazz Band

Picture
Jazz Band is a spring semester course that meets during 7th period and receives Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) course credit. The Jazz Band performs Big Band style arrangements of literature ranging from jazz standards to pop music arrangements and more. Basic Improvisation is covered as well as reading chord changes and interpreting jazz notation such as swinging eighth notes, accents, etc.

Students interested in Jazz Band must complete an audition in January to be considered for the group.
