The PLHS Pointer Association Music Boosters is happy to announce that “Rhapsody on the Point” will be at the stunning venue, Humphreys, Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 5:00 pm. We will be hosting our annual silent auction to support our local music programs in an intimate and elegant setting. The evening will feature performances by the PLHS Concert Band, Orchestra, Jazz Band, Color Guard, Beginning and Advanced Guitar, Choir, and Music Theater programs.

Come celebrate an elegant evening of music and performances, amazing silent auction items, fabulous opportunity drawings, with a cash bar, and food options available for purchase. All ticket and auction proceeds from the event will ensure that our students can continue to learn and grow through our PLHS programs, and influence the world with their music.

Reception hour begins at 5:00 pm, guests will have the opportunity to participate in the silent auction, opportunity drawings, and the cash food and drink bar. Enjoy live student performances beginning at 5:30 pm while sipping on a refreshing drink from the cash bar, don’t forget to reserve a table or front-row seating.

Already purchased your tickets? Here is some additional information for Saturday night:

• Parking: There is FREE street parking along Shelter Island as well as in the parking lots across the road. Be sure to park in appropriate stalls (not trailer stalls, they will TOW and TICKET). There is limited parking at the concert venue and parking in the hotel lot will be fee based. 
• Check-in: Please email, [email protected], with the names of those who will be in attendance (if you have not already). There are no physical tickets, you will check in by name when you arrive.
• Additional Tickets: Can be purchased at the door using cash, check, or card. Reserved seating not included
• Food: No outside food or drinks can be brought in. There will be a concession stand with concert food options. See menu for prices and details. 
• Drinks: Soda, beer, wine, cocktails, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate will be available for purchase. See drink list for prices and details.
• Payment: We take cash, check and Square credit card payments for ticket purchases at the door, silent auction items, and opportunity drawing tickets.
• Seating: Seating is all first-come, first served (except for assigned sponsor table seating). The doors will open at 5 pm and the music program will start at 5:30 pm sharp. 
• Weather: It will be a very chilly evening so be sure to wear layers or even bring a blanket for this fully outdoor event.  The show goes on, rain or shine.
• Auction/Opportunity Drawings: The silent auction bidding and opportunity ticket sales will begin when doors open at 5:00 pm. All sales and drawings will be finalized at the end of the intermission. Opportunity Drawing Awardees must be present to win. Silent Auction awardees will be contacted via text during the second half of the performances. Please pick up your items as you are texted versus waiting until the end. Cash, check, or card payments will be accepted.
• Smoking/Vaping: is NOT permitted anywhere inside the venue. Please use designated locations only.

 
Once the concert begins, out of courtesy to your students fellow classmates please encourage them to watch when they are not performing. Let’s celebrate all our performers hard work!
